But I know a few things that are true.
God created the heavens and the earth. All men are descended from the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, who were created by God. Adam and Eve sinned, therefore all men are inherent sinners. God sent His Only Son, Jesus, to save mankind by taking the punishment for our sin.
If we admit we are sinners, believe that Christ is the Son of God, and confess and repent our sin, then we will be forgiven. I know He’s coming back here someday to judge all men.
I know the basis of how I should live! What I don’t know is the details, the minute specifics. I don’t know if I’m sinning by reading a certain book or listening to a certain song.
I don’t know a lot of things about my faith, but this I know. This I cannot doubt. This is my faith.

This essay is basically an edited transcript of remarks on my faith, which were made during a converstation with a fellow believer about theological issues. Too often, Christians are divided by minute issues, like the ones I listed. We need to come together. We are one in Christ!
